I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the house. The vintage furniture and tasteful decorations made me feel right at home. The common areas were spacious and well-maintained, perfect for socializing with other guests. As a senior, I found the hotel to be easily accessible with no stairs or obstacles that would cause any inconvenience.
I would have appreciated a better selection of activities and amenities specifically catered to senior guests. The children working there were lovely, but I think having more options for relaxation or gentle exercises would make for an even better vacation for seniors.

The bathrooms at Plas Dorothea were absolutely fantastic! They had everything you could ask for, like a hairdryer and free toiletries. It felt so nice to have all the essentials provided for me. As a backpacker, I really appreciated this level of comfort and convenience.
Personally, I found the presence of baths in all the bathrooms to be a bit unnecessary. But hey, that's just my opinion!

Just stayed at this charming old house in the middle of nowhere near an old slate quarry. Perfect for a getaway with friends, the house has lots of character, spacious bedrooms, and a cozy bar complete with a fireplace. The large back garden offers beautiful views of Snowden and plenty of space for games. The owners were welcoming and the secluded location allowed us to enjoy ourselves without worrying about noise. a brilliant weekend away.
Would recommend this hotel.

One thing I absolutely adored about my stay at Plas Dorothea was the beautiful decoration throughout the hotel. The attention to detail in the furnishings, artwork, and overall ambiance made me feel like I was in a cozy and elegant countryside retreat. It truly added to the charm and character of the place. The general areas of the hotel were also very accessible for senior people like myself. There were comfortable seating areas where I could relax and take in the stunning mountain views, and the pathways and facilities were designed with ease of use in mind. I felt safe and comfortable navigating the hotel, even with my limited mobility.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people like myself, I would hope for more assistance from the staff. While they were friendly and accommodating, it would have been nice to have a bit more attention and support from them.

We got excellent value for our money with a spacious and clean room, plus stunning views from the large back garden. The location was perfect for peaceful walks around the nearby disused quarries, and the house manager, Rachael, was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was a wider variety of options.

Great location with stunning views of the surrounding area and nearby natural attractions. The house was spacious and had a large garden, perfect for outdoor activities. The bar area provided a cozy and comfortable space to relax and spend time together.
The fridge freezer was broken and there was a bad smell in the breakfast room, which made it unusable. The lack of towels was an inconvenience and the photos did not accurately depict the property.
